Awnings are a great way to provide
shade and shelter for your customers, but they
also add to the character of your building. Downtown
Cedar Falls has many fine examples of our awnings
which feature Milliken frames that allow the fabric
to be pulled drum-tight. The fabric is stapled
into place, then a strip of vinyl trim is inserted
in the channel for a clean look.
FABRIC CHOICES
Made from solution-dyed acrylic
fibers, Sunbrella
fabrics can endure the most destructive elements:
wind and rain. They also resist tearing, shrinking,
rot and mildew. Plus, Sunbrella fabric is woven,
which makes it breathable, so it doesn't trap
heat and moisture like vinyl.
Cooley Sign Products was the first
company to develop translucent materials for signs
and awnings and the first to create eradicable
substrates. Cooley Brite
fabric is a translucent vinyl that is great
for backlit awnings, because the color can be
eradicated, leaving a white area for lettering.
Canopy fabric is similar to Cooley,
but it has a longer warranty and can not be eradicated.
We'll use Canopy fabric
on projects where graphics are not required or
when color longevity is desired.

These completely Powder Coated Retractable Lateral Awnings
can project from four to twelve feet. Widths vary from
five to forty feet. The Australia can also be motorized
and comes with an optional sun and wind sensor. It features
European designed “single bolt pitch adjustment
and chain driven arms”.

built around a tension controlled support arm system.
It allows a projection of up to five feet. Simple and
elegant yet effective sun control at a fraction of the
cost.
The Italia style awning is the retractable
version of Simplicity. It comes with a gear driven roller
tube that can project up to five feet and extend further
to completely cover the window. The Italia can also
be equipped with a motor and protective hood. The frames
are made of durable aluminum and are Powder Coated.
